Iowa Stage Theatre Company and Salisbury House Foundation are excited to announce that auditions for this year’s production of Shakespeare on the Lawn – The Comedy of Errors – will be held April 6th at Salisbury House & Gardens. Auditioners must sign-up for an audition time, fill-out the audition form, and prepare one/two monologues (or a comedic Shakespeare monologue of your choice) from the audition materials. Shakespeare’s The Comedy of Errors is a fast-paced, laugh-out-loud farce filled with mistaken identities, wild misunderstandings, and chaotic comedy. When two sets of long-lost twins unknowingly find themselves in the same city, madness ensues—complete with wrongful arrests, romantic mix-ups, and plenty of slapstick hilarity.
The creative team is led by Shakespeare on the Lawn aficionados Brad Dell (director) and Taylor Millar (assistant director), with co-producers Keshia Meissner (Salisbury House Foundation) and Alex Wendel (Iowa Stage Theatre Company). Performances will be held at Salisbury House & Gardens July 16-20, 2025; tickets on sale April 1, 2025.
