Tickets and About the Show

All tickets are non-refundable or transferable to other performances or events. If you find you are unable to attend, please feel free to gift your ticket(s) to a friend.

You will receive an emailed receipt for your ticket and add-on purchases. This receipt will also include a ticket with a QR code for each ticket holder and each add-on purchase. Please print your ticket(s) or have a digital version to present for check-in upon arrival.

When you Arrive - Follow the stairs from the main parking lot up the sidewalk and check in at the tent before finding your seat. Gates open at 6:00 pm.

There will be one 20-minute intermission.

There will be portable restrooms and sinks available for guests to use. Accessible seating guests will have access to accessible portable restrooms on the north side of the house. The restrooms inside will not be open to the public.

Non-professional photography is allowed, however using a flash is strictly prohibited. Videography is not allowed. Feel free to tag us at @salisburyhousedsm and @iowastage – we would love to see your photos.

In the case of a rain delay or cancellation, ticket holders whose email was provided upon ticket purchase will receive an email communication no later than 4 PM on the day of the performance with updates and instructions. Updates will also be posted on the Shakespeare on the Lawn Facebook event page and website.

In the event a performance is canceled due to rain, ticket holders of the canceled performance may use their ticket(s) for any one of the remaining performance nights. Refunds will not be issued due to rain cancellation or delay.


If the Sunday performance is canceled, and your tickets are for the Sunday performance, tickets will be converted to a donation to Shakespeare on the Lawn unless a refund (minus processing fees) is requested by email only to info@shakespeareonthelawn.com. Phone requests for refunds will not be accepted. Refund request must be received no later than Wednesday, July 31, 2024 and are valid for a canceled Sunday performance only. You will receive a donation letter in the mail for the tax-deductible value of your ticket purchase. We thank you for your support of Shakespeare on the Lawn!

If space permits, tickets may be changed to a different night until the end of business day on July 14. No phone calls please! Requests must be emailed to info@shakespeareonthelawn.com with the purchaser’s name, the original purchase night and the night you would like to switch to, and the names of any others in your party. Changes are subject to availability and are not guaranteed. Tickets are non-refundable. Add-on purchases cannot be switched to different nights.

Your ticket purchase is not tax-deductible. However, you may elect to add an additional donation with your ticket purchase to go toward this fundraising event. All net proceeds from the event will support both Iowa Stage Theatre Company and Salisbury House Foundation. You will receive a donation letter in the mail for tax purposes.

Parking, Directions, and Seating

From I-235, take the 42nd Street exit. Proceed south on 42nd Street for about 1⁄2 mile. Turn left onto Tonawanda Drive. Salisbury House is located at 4025 Tonawanda Drive. It is the 4th property on the North side of the street.

Please Note: Tonawanda Drive will be temporarily turned into a one-way, eastbound only street. Do not enter Tonawanda from the east side of Salisbury House. Enter off 42nd Street only.

On-street parking is available on the south side of Tonawanda and on surrounding streets. We strongly suggest carpooling, using car sharing services, biking, or walking. There will be event golf carts to taxi you from/to the various parking pick up areas. Please be considerate of our neighbors when parking on the streets. You may also pre-purchase parking in the Salisbury House parking lot for $15. Spaces are limited.

Accessible parking is available on the north side of Salisbury House in the circle drive parking area. If you require accessible parking please email us at contactus@salisburyhouse.org to reserve a space. Once your reservation is confirmed, we will have you on our parking reservation list. Enter the main parking lot off Tonawanda for check-in where you will receive a parking permit and directions. Spaces are limited! Note: Access to the garden seating from this parking area requires stairs.

Handicap Accessible Seating
If you require accessible seating please email us at contactus@salisburyhouse.org to reserve a seat(s). Once your reservation is confirmed, we will have you on our accessible seating list. Seating is limited. Upon arrival, enter the main parking lot off Tonawanda for check-in and directions. Note: the accessible seating area is on the terrace.

Due to this area being on the “stage,” if seated on the terrace, you will be unable to leave your seat during the performance. There will be handicap accessible restrooms available on the north side of the house for use during
intermission.

Plastic lawn chairs are provided, however small bag chairs and blankets are allowed in limited, designated areas. Ushers will direct you to the various seating areas. One small blanket per group permitted. Blanket space is limited. All seating is first-come-first-served.

Food, Drink, and Allowed Items

As a fundraiser for the event, our concessions will be selling beer and white wine (by the glass or bottle), hard cider, soda, and water. Ice cream will be available for a $5 minimum donation while supplies last! Cash & credit cards accepted. There will not be an atm available onsite.

Picnics are welcome! Please feel free to bring food and drink for your group. Please be sure to dispose of all your trash in the provided receptacles or take it with you. Note: Red wine is not allowed anywhere on the premises.

If you pre-ordered a charcuterie box, it will be available for pickup at the concessions tent. Pickup starts at 6 pm and ends at 7:30 pm. Boxes will not be sold on the day of the performance. All pre-order sales are final.

The grounds are professionally sprayed for mosquitos before the event. We do recommend that you bring your own bug spray, but we will have some available. Please Note – bug spray kills the grass. Please only spray in designated areas or on the cement only.

We love our pets too, but we do ask that you please leave your four-legged friends at home. Service animals OK.

Smoking and vaping are strictly forbidden in the seating and performance areas and are allowed in designated smoking areas only.

No weapons are allowed on the premises.

Iowa Stage Theatre Company & Salisbury House

Yes! They have a full line-up of shows throughout the year. Support local theatre by attending their shows.

Salisbury House will not be open to the public during performances. Museum hours will be 10 am - 4 pm during performance days. Check our website at salisburyhouse.org for open days and tour times!
